Attacked by the Ogre

"You are right! I can smell it too!" remarks Jaheira.



The ogre comes running over us. It's time to draw our swords.



The ogre swings his huge spiked mace toward Khalid. Imoen's first arrow misses him. The all party attacks him from all directions putting the gigantic fellow on the defensive. Another arrow zips by without hitting him. The ogre is able to parry Jaheira, Khalid and Xzar hits by whirling the mace all around him. Then he back hands and smashes Jaheira real bad, almost killing her. She is thrown out of the fight. Imoen hits a bull's eye by putting an arrow straight through the monster neck. However, the ogre keeps fighting. Montaron, taking advantage of his small stature, runs in between the ogre's legs trying to slash his tendins but fails twice.
Imoen keeps launching one arrow after another at the giant, missing again and again.
Xzar casts a spell that has no effect whatsoever. Khalid finally manages to get his broad sword through the ogre defense slashing his side quite seriously.

The monster is unstoppable. The exchange of hits and parries keep going in a frenzy. Even Jaheira is back in the midst for a moment. The ogre parries everything that we throw at him. Then Montaron gets through and stabs him in the guts. The ogre's blood now spills like from a fountain. Screaming savagely, the monster keeps parrying our sustained assaults. Finally I am hit by his swirling mace and thrown to the ground almost senseless.



Khalid, Xzar, Montaron and Imoen renew their attacks. The ogre throws them back. Lo, Xzar manages to get a spell to work! The ogre acts confused. He is weakened by multiple and serious wounds.
